As many of you may already know, I find my inspiration and my philosophy in trees. A tree is how I see our consciousness and a poem from the Mahabharata has been a guiding truth for me ever since I came across it in Peter Kingsley’s book Reality. It is the most beautiful expression of our consciousness and who we are. The seed it grows from is the unseen Awareness is its trunk Its inner hollows are the senses Its branches are the great elements The objects of perception are its buds The lens we use to gaze upon our tree is so important. There is another poem, The Two Trees, by William Butler Yeats which gets right to the root of this. A line in the poem reads, Gaze no more in the bitter glass and few stanza’s later reads All things turn to barrenness in the dim glass the demons hold. (Here’s a link to if you are curious to check it out the whole poem: The Two Trees). This is particularly poignant for me this week because of a major epiphany. The last few years have been difficult for me and as a result, I had developed a bad habit of gazing too often into that bitter glass. Yes, even while working with my clients to develop gratitude habits that cultivate the positive, I was stuck in a negative pattern (sometimes it so much easier to see patterns in others than it is in yourself, which is why coaching can be so powerful). Isn’t it funny how we all need to heed our own advice sometimes? As a result, I made a commitment to be aware of the negative thoughts and turn my gaze away from that bitter glass. No sooner had I made this commitment than I had a magical day. The universe answered with a whole hearted Yes! Of course the work is ongoing, but I already feel so uplifted and hopeful. That leads me on to an even bigger unfolding. I am aligning my business and offerings to my true self. I can no longer let my fear of ridicule and irrelevance get in my way. I am a healer and a mystic. I bridge the world of spirit and matter, the inner and outer. What a relief to finally own it, out loud, no apologies!! As such, I work with mind, body and spirit to help my clients trust their inner guidance. Nothing fulfills me more than to be of service to you opening to your gifts. This last year was my deepest lesson in this work (and my homework to prepare me). I have moved through fear on so many levels to finally proclaim my calling. That includes sharing with you the magic of trees, which are central to my work. Trees are a powerful metaphor of our inner world and truly magical teachers in our outer world. Trees have been a core part of many mythologies from around the world. They are an esoteric truth and an outer reminder of that truth. My relationship with trees only deepens over time and very soon I will be launching my Tree Wisdom System to Own Your Inner Guidance and Thrive. At the same time I am working on a tree oracle deck and companion book. As such, the tree will remain my logo, but my branding will continue to evolve. If you have feedback for me as things evolve, I would love to hear it. After all, I am here to serve you as well as my deeper unfolding purpose.
